T’was but a solemn evening;
one filled with glory and praise,
yet she was filled with sorrow and pain.
By the tears of her love and grieving,
her heart spoke the truth in ways,
that confirmed she was in love again.
Her cries ripped through my heart that night!
Money and distance – the cause!
So I slept with an aching heart!
Something was just not seeming right,
I just couldn’t tell what it was,
But I promised her we’ll never be apart.
And so I took upon myself an oath…
No matter what it takes, I’ll sail the boat,
and fight the waves that separate us both!
